Chuck Weed founded Education 21, Inc. in 1991. He serves as President of the Board of Directors as well as Executive Director of the agency. Chuck's experience includes teaching at the high school level in Massachusetts, on the community college level at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York and at the university level at the State University of New York at Albany. He enjoys the flexibility of working outside a bureaucracy as well as being able to respond to school needs in a timely fashion.

Our small staff is always busy coordinating the many activities required by contracts in excess of $500,000 each year. Our teacher clientele extends from Pre-K through college and encompasses both public and non-public schools.

Sharing Success funds supplied by the New York State Legislature for identification and dissemination of successful programs and practices allow Education 21 to offer free teacher training in a variety of programs. Kathy Johnson provides support to the New York State Education Department under a contract convering the Registration Review Initiative. Kathy interacts with BOCES Superintendents, as well as administrators, teachers and parents of local schools as she coordinates site visits to SURR schools throughout the State. In addition, Kathy handles the financial responsibilities for our very active organization. Jon Gilbert handles the dissemination of our nationally validated Study Skills Across-the-Curriculum program and coordinates our many training workshops. His marketing strategies promote Teachers as Managers, Bullying, and Violence Prevention. He is always willing to listen to school needs and arrange ad hoc seminars to satisfy those needs.
